The Windmotor Meenthe is a modern watermill located just south of De Meenthe in the town of Wolvega. The mill is a fairly small U.S. Wind Engine, with a flight of just 3.5 metres. The U.S. Wind Engine design was very popular in the Friesland region during the first half of the 20th century, although many of the mills using this design have since been decommissioned. The Windmotor Meenthe is still in use today, and is not usually open to the public.
