The Windmotor 2 is a relatively modern mill located on the Dolt Sloot, to the east of the town of Uitwellingera. It was built in 1920 by a German mill-making company. The mill is relatively small, with a flight of just 6 metres. The Windmotor 2 is now maintained by the Fryslan Mill foundation. The Windmotor 2 was built to an American design known as the ’U.S. Wind Engine’. The Windmotor 2 is still in use today, although it is not currently open to the public.
