The Windmotor 2 is an interesting watermill located just to the south of the town of Weidum. The mill was built in the early 20th century, to a comparatively rare ’U.S. Wind Engine’ design. The mill is quite small, and has six sails. The Windmotor 2 is one of several mills in Weidum, and is still in use today. The U.S. Wind Engine design was very popular at the turn of the 20th century, but there are very few mills of that kind still in operation today.
