The Windesheimer Mill was built in 1748 to replace an almost 400 year old post mill that had been destroyed during a storm the previous year. The mill was sold to the Langevoort family in 1780, and remained the property of the family until 1951, when the Windesheimer Mill Foundation was set up to restore the mill and save it from demolition. Today the mill is ran on a voluntary basis, and supplies flour to many local bakeries. The mill is open to the public every Saturday.
