Wijlre Castle, and the Hedge House, offer visitors the chance to enjoy a merger of history, architecture, fine gardens, and modern art. The Hedge House hosts a number of temporary exhibitions devoted to modern and contemporary artists, such as Christian Jankowski, who have embraced several different forms of media to produce their works. The castle itself is around 4 centuries old, although parts of it are more modern, allowing you to trace the development of the castle through the different styles of architecture.
