The Volmolen is an historic water mill located on Molenstraat in the town of Waalre. The history of the mill is unknown, although it is thought to date back to the 14th century. The mill has had several owners. The Volmolen was sold to the Waalre Municipality in the mid 1990s, and was converted into an electricity generating mill, to provide power for some houses located near the mill. The Volmolen is open to the public on certain public holidays, and appointments can be made for visits at other times.
