The Vervoorn Polder Mill was built in the early 18th century, to manage a small section of the Vervoorn polder. There were originally 116 mills in the province, of which only seven were used as polder mills. The Vervoorn Polder mill is now maintained by the Country van Heusden and Altena Mill Society, and is open to the public. There are no fixed opening hours, but visitors are welcome when the mill is in operation, and tours can also be arranged by appointment.
