The Tweemanspolder Mill No. 1 is one of four mills that served the 460 hectare Tweemaanspolder. The mill was built in 1730, and was in use until 1952, when a mechanical pumping station took over the duties of the mills. In 1953, the Tweemanspolder Mill No. 1 was bought by the Foundation for the Conservation of Mills on the Tweemanspolder. The mill can regularly be seen in operation, and is open to the public on selected weekends.
