The Wijhese Mill was built in 1703 for Baron Coenraad van Dedem to replace a post mill that had previously stood on the same site. The mill is the oldest remaining stellingmolen in the Overijssel region. The Wijhese Mill is currently owned by the Wijhese Mill Foundation, and is used to grind grain to produce feed for cattle. The mill is open to the public every Saturday, with tours available on other days upon request.
