The Wielewaal Mill was built in 1870 as a poldermill for the Zuidveen polder. The mill was also equipped with a wooden mortar. The Wielewaal Mill was in active use until 1955. It was later moved to Wapenveld, where it was converted to an electricity generating mill. The mill was sold to Mr. E. H. Wagenvoort, and it is currently being restored. Mr Wagenvoort hopes to see the mill return to being use for its original function as a polder mill.
