The Oldenboorn Mill

The Warniahuizen is an historic polder mill located on Geawei in the town of Warniahuizen. The mill was built in 1896, and originally served the Kriek polder. The Warniahuizen is a traditional ’spinnenkop’ windmill, with a flight of just 15 metres. This kind of mill was quite a common sight, during the 19th century, and was used when a smaller ’wipmolen’ would have been unable to meet the demands of the polder.
