The Huisman is an historic windmill located on Kalverringdijk in the town of Zaandam. The mill was built in 1786, and was originally used as a mustard mill. During the Second World War, the mill was used to generate electricity. The Huisman is now owned by the Zaansche Mill Association. Some restoration work was carried out on the mill in 2002, but the mill still has some serious structural defects, and more work is required to make it safe.
