The Hempenserpoldermolen is an historc water mill located on the Himpensermar in the town of Wergea. The mill was built in 1863, and was originally used to drain the Hempensermeerpolder. In 1955, the mill was decommissioned, and a few years later it was bought by the Boarnsterheim County. The Hempenserpoldermolen is still in use today, and is open to the public. Tours of the mill are available by appointment.
