The Hadel Mill in Zaandam was originally built in 1929 to serve the Four North Koggen Polder. The mill was decommisioned in 1957, when an electric pump took over the husbandry of the polder. In 1968, the mill was rebuilt by the Zaanse Schans Foundation, The mill is now in good working order, and can regularly be seen in operation. The name of the mill is taken from the original name of the Kalverpolder, where the mill is located.
