The Friendship Mill in Winsum is a traditional barley mill that was built in 1801, for the miller K. J. Pel. The mill was converted to a corn mill, and had the original pelstones removed in 1941. Today, the mill is owned by the Winsum Mill Foundation. The mill is currently maintained by Mr S. Bakema and J. vd Meulen. The Friendship mill is open to the public, although it is best to call to make an appointment before visiting.
