The Fram Mill was is a traditional wooden windmill located on Kollerijweg in the town of Woltersum. The mill was built in 1867. It was originally owned by W. E. Evenhuis, who named the mill ’Fram’ after the ship that was sailed by Nansen, the famous Norwegian explorer. The mill was almost totally rebuilt during a restoration project in 1975. The Fram Mill is now owned by the Fivelingo Mill Foundation, and is open to visitors every Saturday, with appointments available for other days.
