The Cow Mill is located on the west side of the town of Veer. It was built in 1909 to replace an 19th century mill that had been destroyed by a fire. The mill was restored in 1977, and attempts were made to waterproof the roof. One floor of the mill is furnished as a dwelling, although the mill has never been inhabited. The mill has had several private owners, inclduing Marcus Growenwegen, A.J. Hamer, and most recently Mr W. J. Mees.
