The Bonte Hen Mill is a beautiful corn mill that was built in 1693. The mill is located on the northern side of the Zaanse Schans, and offers some very scenic views. In 1925 the mill was severely damaged by a fire. The mill was bought by the Zaansche Mill Association in 1973, and restored to working order in 1980. The mill is now ran on a voluntary basis, and is open to the public.
