The Stadhuis in Veere is an impressive building, buit in an opulent 15th century style. The original building was constructed in the 1470s, but a Renassance style tower was added around a century later, and appears out of scale with the rest of the building. The Stadhuis is decorated with statues of the town lords and their wives. The old courtroom now serves as a museum, with the items on display including a goblet that was once owned by Maximilian of Burgundy.
