St Walburgiskerk is a large, Gothic church in the city of Zutphen. The church has an impressive, square tower which looms high over the town. Inside, there is an extravagant looking brass baptismal font, and a medieval library which contains more than 700 items including early manuscripts and books – some of which are still chained to the lecterns on which they were once read hundreds of years ago. The library was one of the first public libraries built in the Netherlands.
