The Slootgaardpolder Mill is a 16th century windmill which was built to drain the Sloot Gaard Polder. The mill is interesting not just because of its long history, but also because it has an unusual cross-reel design. This design can only be found in one other working mill in the country, the Robonsbos Mill in Egmond. The Slootgaardpolder Mill underwent extensive restoration in 2003, and is now in working order. The mill is open to the public.
