The St Jacobskerk in Vlissingen is located in the town centre, on Oude Markt. The church was built between 1308 and 1328. It was heavily damaged in a fire in 1911, the suffered damage during World War 2, and again in the flood of 1953. It was carefully restored in 1954, and both the inside, and the beautiful church tower are in good condition. The church is used for both services and musical performances.
