The Schoonoord Mill is a working corn mill located on Valendrieseweg in the town of Wijchen. The mill was built in 1887, at the same time as the neighbouring convent. The mill was severely damaged after a fire in 1944, and was partially restored in 1965. The mill was sold to a new owner in 1984. A second fire in 2003 caused damage to the tail of the wind mill, making it once again non-operational. In early 2006 the damaged parts were replaced, and the mill returned to working order.
