The Op de Vrouweheide Mill is a traditional corn mill on the outskirts of the town of Ubachsberg. The mill was built by the German mill-maker Leonard Joseph Weijer. The Op de Brouweheid Mill has had several owners. In 1945, the mill was accidentally burned down by British soldiers. The mill was restored in the 1950s, and became host to a small cafe-restaurant called ’The Dutch Windmill’. The restaurant is no longer open. The Op de Vrouweheide mill is the highest windmill in the Netherlands.
