The Meerburgermolen is an historic polder mill located on the Meerburgerwetering, near the Leiden-Alphen railroad. The mill was built in 1684 by Cales Jansz van Staveren and Ary Jacbosz, to serve the 100 hectare Meerburgerpolder. In 1972, the mill was bought by the Rhineland Mill Foundation. The Meerburgermolen is now ran by staff from Guild of Voluntary Millers, and is open to the public. Tours of the mill can be arranged upon request.
