The Leemansmolen was built in 1862 by Henry Leemans of Hellendoorn. The mill was only in use for a short time before some houses were built on the nearby street of Hammerweg. The houses blocked the wind, causing serious problems for the mill. The mill was closed down and began to decay. In 1962, the mill was restored. It is now used as a teaching mill for volunteer millers. Tours of the mill are available upon request.
