The Lakermolen is an historic water mill located on the north side of the island on the Kagerplaas Lake. The mill was built in 1818 to serve the 25 hectare Lakerpolder. The polder would be underwater during the winter months, and the mill would dry the polder during the spring. The mill is a relatively small one, with a flight of just 13.5 metres. The Lakermolen is open to the public, and guided tours of the mill can be arranged upon request.
