The Kalverpolder Wind Mill is a relatively modern mill located on the Kalverpolder in the town of Zaandam-Oostzijde. The mill was built in 1925, and features a comparatively rare U.S. Wind Motor design known as the ’Hercules Wind Engine’. There are only 53 such mills remaining in the Netherlands, and only a small number of those mills are still in operation today. The Kalverpolder Wind Mill is in good condition, but is not currently open to the public.
