The Johanna Elisabeth mill was built in 1844 as a standard corn mill, and upgraded to a belt mill in 1890. During the Second World War, it was used as a saw mill to produce parts for cars. The mill is now owned by Deurne County. The Johanna Elisabeth mill was restored in 1972, and is now ran by two millers, Mr. J. Coppens, and Mr. H. Smits. The mill can regularly be seen in operation, and is open to the public every Saturday during the summer.
