The Houdt Braef Stant Mill is a historic corn mill located on Ijsseldijk in the town of Welsum. The mill was built in 1856. It is an octagonal stellingmolen. The stellingmolen is one of the most common kinds of mill in the Netherlands, because the extra height of the mill makes it suitable for use in areas where a smaller ’wipmolen’ would not be able to catch the wind effectively. The Houdt Braef Stant mill is currently in use as a private residence.
