The Hoogeland Open Air Museum, or “Openluchtmuseum Het Hoogeland” is an outdoor museum devoted to the history of farming in the region. One of the main attractions of the museum is the authentic rosmolen. The Hoogeland Rosmolen is a horse-driven mill which would have been used to grind grains and corn to produce flour or animal feed. There are very few rosmolens remaining in the region, as most of them were replaced over a century ago by wind mills.
