The Grote Kerk, or ’Great Church’ in Weesp is an old church located on Nieuwstraat near the centre of the town. The church has a classic organ with 23 stops and a coupled pedal. The organ was built by Jonathan Batz, an Organ Builder from Utrecht, and inaugurated on 12th October 1823, with a performance of “De Morgenstond” as well as an overture and a flute concerto. The church underwent careful restoration in the 1970s, and the organ was restored in 1978 by S.F. Blank.
