The Gerkroonde Mill was originally built in 1869 on the Oostzijderveld. It was moved to its current location on the Weerpad in Zaandam in 1963. Since then, the mill has had several owners. The mill is currently owned by the Zaansche Mill Association, and was restored in 2005. The Gerkroonde Mill can regularly be seen in operation, and is open to the public. The current opening days and times are listed on the mill web site.
