The Molen de Vlieger is an historic watermill located on Essenpad in the town of Voorbug. The mill was built in 1621. The mill was moved to the Essensteijn polder in 1989, and was then converted into a museum. The mill is now maintained by the De Vlieger Mill Foundation. The museum contains a number of exhibitions about the history of the Netherlands, and the role that windmills played in reclaiming inhabitable land from the sea.
