The ’De Hoop’, or ’The Hop’ mill was built in 1850 for Mr. G. Oldenampsen. The mill has had several owners, including J. de Jong, the Kluvers family, and J. F. van Ark. The mill was decommissioned in 1976, and then re-bought by the Kluvers family the following year. There are currently plans being made to set up a foundation for the mill so that funding can be raised to restore the mill to its former glory.
