The De Hoop, or ’The Hope’ mill is an historic corn mill located on Eerste Stationsstraat in the town of Zoetermeer. The mill was built in 1897, to replace an older corn mill that had been destroyed in a fire. The mill is now owned by The Hope Mill Foundation. The mill was restored in 1984, and can regularly be seen in operation. The mill is open to the public every Saturday, and has a small shop which sells fresh grain products.
