The Bleeke Dood Mill is an historic corn mill located on Lagedijk in the town of Zaandijk. The name of the mill translates to ’The Death’, and there is a picture on the nameplate of the mill of a skeleton with a scythe, and the motto ’The Pale Death, I’m the end of life, Everyone they prepared to me, With plenty of work here to give, Know that I work all the time”. The mill is in working order, and is open to the public.
