The Coppens Mill was built in 1883 for Nicholas Coppens, to replace an older post mill. The mill was owned by the Coppens family for three generations, before it was sold to the Van Dongen family in 1950. The Coppens Mill has been owned by the town of Zeeland since 1971. The mill is in working order, and can be seen in operation on a regular basis. The mill is open to the public every Saturday morning.
