The Windmotor Tijnje is a modern wind mill located near the bridge over the Nieuw Vaart on the outskirts of the town of Tijnje. The Windmotor Tijnje was built by the mill-makers Bajjer uit IJlst, using a design known as the U.S. Wind Engine. This design was very popular at the start of the 20th century, and is a common sight in the Friesland region. The Windmotor Tijnje is not currently open to the public.
