The Windmotor Sijbrandahuis is a modern watermill located on Birdaarder Straatweg in the town of Sijbrandahuis. The mill is a fairly small U.S. Wind Engine, with 12 wind sheets, and a flight of just 3.5 metres. The U.S. Wind Engine design was very common in the Friesland region during the first half of the 20th century, although many of the mills using the design have been decommissioned in recent years. The Windmotor Sijbrandahuis is not currently open to the public.
