Windmotor 2

The Windmotor 2 is a modern watermill located to the west of the A6 highway, on the outskirts of the town of Scharsterbrug. The mill is a relatively small ’U.S. Wind Engine’, with a flight of just 4.5 metres. The U.S. Wind Engine design was very popular during the first half of the 20th century, and is a common sight in the Friesland landscape. The Windmotor 2 is one of several such mills in the Scharsterbrug area. The mill is not currently open to the public.
