The Windmotor 1 is a relatively modern wind mill located on Opvaart van de Houtvaart in the town of Scharsterbrug. The mill is a average-sized one with a flight of 5 metres. The Windmotor 1 is still in use today as a drainage mill. The exact date of the construction of the Windmotor 1 is not known, although the U.S. Wind Engine design suggests that the mill was built during the first half of the 20th century. The Windmotor 1 is not open to the public.
