The Wereldmuseum is devoted to non-Western cultures, with exhibits such as ’Rotterdammers’ which examines how Rotterdam has developed throughout the 20th century, and how the arrival of immigrants from around the world has influenced the culture of the city. Another interesting exhibit is the Hotel ’Het Reispaleis’ (’The Travel Palace’ Hotel) – an attraction aimed at children which allows them to visit the rooms of ’travellers’ and look at their luggage and paraphernalia to get an idea of their culture and way of life.
