The Veendermolen is a relatively modern mill located on Aderweg in the town of Roelofarendsveen. The mill was built in 1934 by the mill-maker Verbij from Hoogmade. The mill was originally used to drain the 186 hectare Veenderpolder. The Veendermolen is now owned by the Rhineland Mill Foundation, and has been recently restored. The Veendermolen is open to the public, and tours of the mill are available by appointment.
