The Walvisch mill is an historic corn mill located on Westvest in the town of Schiedam. The mill was built in 1794 for a small co-operative group. In 1982, the mill was bought by the town. The Walvisch mill was restored in 1996. The mill is open to the public every Wednesday to Saturday, with tours available on other days by appointment. There is a small shop inside the mill which sells a variety of fresh grain produce.
