The Ter Haar Mill was built in 1831 for Mr Freek Harms Maarsing. It is an open post mill, and was used for grinding grains such as barley. In 1947, the mill suffered heavy damage during a storm. The damage was not repaired until 1953. The mill has been restored several times since then, is now owned by the Vlagtwedde County. The mill is ran my Mr A. Wever. Visits to the mill are possible by appointment only.
