The Steenhuistermolen is an historic polder mill located on Wurgedyk in the town of Stiens. The mill was built in 1880, and was in active use until 1952, when it was damaged during a storm, and temporarily replaced. The mill was repaired in 1967, but was only used for two more years before a mechanized pump took over the husbandry of the polder. Today, the mill is owned by the Fryske Mill Foundation. The Steenhuistermolen is open to the public, and tours can be arranged upon request.
