The Lytse Geast mill is a realatively modern water mill located on Alddiel in the town of Tytsjerk. The mill was built in 1900, and was originally used to drain the St Anthonygasthuis Foundation polder. The officiall name of the mill is ’the mill to the Ouddeel under Tytsjerk’, however in the 1970s, the mill was renamed to Lytse Geast, in honour of a local resident. The Lytse Geast mill was restored in 2002, and is still in use today.
