The Kaagmolen was built in 1654, to serve the 355 hectare polder of the United Raaksmaats and Niedorperkoggeboezem. In 1879, a steam pump took over many of the duties of the windmill, and in 1959, the steam pump was replaced by a diesel powered one. The Kaagmolen was bought by the West Frisian Mill Foundation in 2001. The mill is still used as a backup mill for the local polders today. The Kaagmolen is open to the public.
