The Industry Mill was built in 1857 for Mathias Versterre, and was later sold to the Van der Ven family. In 1991, the Ravenstein Mill Foundation took over the care of the mill, and began a five year long restoration project. The mill is now used to produce ’speltmeel’. The spelt grain is an interesting alternative to wheat, and has many health enhancing properties. The Industry Mill is open to the public every Friday afternoon.
